In the late 1800s, a mysterious and beautiful woman entered the small town of Harrodsburg. She checked into the Harrodsburg Springs Hotel under a fake name. She dazzled the town by dancing in the hotels ballroom. Enchanted, the towns men flocked to her hoping to get a chance at having their turn on the dance floor.
Her last dance partner was horrified to realize that during their dance, the young beauty was dead in his arms. She was buried on the hotel property and a service was held, although none knew her true identity.
The hotel burned down decades ago, but the grave is still there. The property has been turned into a public park.
Harrodsburg is located thirty miles southwest of Lexington on Route 68.
