Dear Weird US;
Here is mention of a different Midget Village in Huntington Beach, California, that I was able to find on the Internet. This is the one I heard about in Downey. The person I spoke to who drove out there with teenage friends one night years ago (isn't that always the story?) said there was nothing of interest there.

Dear Weird US;
There is a Midgetville in San Diego, California. It is located on Mt. Soledad, but I couldn’t give you directions--we found it by accident. I can tell you that even though the people that live on this very prestigious mountain deny its existence, it is absolutely there and I have seen it!
“I will see if my brother can get directions, he lives in San Diego. The mountain has a large white cross at the top of it. There is a little section where the houses were so small and the doors are small and the mailboxes and everything were so much smaller. You can stand by the houses and almost be as tall as they are. It is so cute!
If you ask anyone in the neighborhood they will tell you it does not exist, but I promise you it’s there.
